100% Low-Floor Modern Tram Car Prototype
BSR has applied for and obtained 15 patents for 100% low-floor modern tram car prototype car developed and manufactured by BSR in 2015. The vehicle is a 5-module carbon steel vehicle with 2 motor cars, 1 trailer car and 2 maglev, which are connected by articulated devices, and has the ability of connecting two train sets for operation. The train is 33m in length, 2.65m in width and 3.6m in height, with a maximum running speed of 70km/h and a full capacity of 380 passengers; the floor at the door area is 34.8cm from the rail surface, and has no obvious height difference from the platform, which is convenient for the passengers, especially the disabled; the vehicle is equipped with pantograph and high-power traction battery, which can run on both lines with and without catenary; the passenger compartment is spacious with super large windows, which can effectively increase the passenger's visual field and the beauty of the vehicle's exterior. Both standing and sitting passengers can enjoy the scenery along the way. The digital train broadcasting and passenger information display system is integrated to provide passengers with large broadband, rich digital station reporting, guidance and video services.
