Dangdang Car
The self-developed "Dangdang car" has become the symbol of Qianmen Dashilanr in Beijing.
In order to reproduce the historical features of old Peking and old Qianmen, a simulated 800-meter-long tram line has been rebuilt in Qianmen Street for sightseeing, presenting a historical landscape of Qianmen Street to the world. Relying on several old photos of "Dangdang car" and taking "humanity", "green" and "science and technology" as the overall design idea, BSR has made the old Peking tram, which has disappeared for nearly half a century, return to Qianmen Street in Beijing.
The new "Dangdang car" has completely independent intellectual property rights and adopts entirely the domestic supporting systems and components. The appearance of the car retains the characteristics of the old Peking tram, and the interior is decorated with antique wood. The driver's console, brake handle and foot "Dangdang" bell restore the structure of the old tram. On the premise of ensuring the safety and reliability of the car, new technologies and new processes, such as VVVF traction system and disc brake system are used, and super capacitor is used as the energy storage element of the vehicle. "Dangdang car" adopts super capacitor to provide power for traction system, which is characterized by fast charging speed that it takes only three to five minutes to fully charge the car; one-time charging allows the car to run for 16 km unloaded; it has long service life, that cycle charging and discharging times is more than 50,000 times. The application of this technology in rail transit vehicles is the first in the world. In addition, "Dangdang car" also adopts a number of humanized design, such as the installation of mobile TV to facilitate passengers to watch the events in time during the Olympic Games; the installation of wheelchair ferry board, setting up the disabled seat and armrest in to facilitate the disabled to get on and off; the application of new noise reduction and environmental protection materials in the floor to reduce the noise inside the car.
