Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. (“BSR”) held the fifth meeting of the Third Workers’ Congress. More than 240 people attended the meeting, including employees’ representatives, non-voting representatives, production schedulers and shift leaders of BSR. Relevant leaders of Beijing Rail Transit Technology Equipment Group Co., Ltd. attended the meeting and delivered speeches. On April 23,
the first trainset (01062) of the Factory Overhaul Project for SFM04A Electric Passenger Cars of Beijing Metro Line 1 was officially put into operation. The successful commissioning of the first trainset of the Factory Overhaul Project for SFM04A Electric Passenger Cars of Beijing Metro Line 1 has set a solid foundation for subsequent mass production and further elevated the operational service caliber of the SFM04A car model running on Beijing Metro Line 1.
On May 15,
Relevant leaders of the Industrial Division of Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission led a delegation to visit and interact with BSR, and the delegation was accompanied by relevant persons-in-charge of Guangzhou Metro Group and Guangzhou Railway Transportation Industry Alliance. Relevant leaders of Beijing Rail Transit Technology Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and BSR participated in the event. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the performance of BSR’s workshop-repaired vehicles, related industrial supporting policies, and subsequent project cooperation.

BSR successfully won the bid for the Media Development Project for Advertising Lightboxes on Beijing Metro Line 3.
On May 17,
BSR held the 20th meeting of its third Board of Directors. The meeting reviewed proposals including the Completion Status of Business Plan for 2023 and Business Plan for 2024 and the Financial Budget for 2024, and received reports on matters such as the board’s authorized decisions in 2023.
On June 7,
BSR successfully passed the re-certification reviews for ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System and ISO45001:2020 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
On the afternoon of June 21,
BSR held the 21st meeting of its third Board of Directors. The meeting reviewed two agenda items: the Final Accounts Report for 2023 and the Profit Distribution Plan for 2023.
On July 8,
the Party Committee of BSR held a work arrangement meeting on ensuring safety and stability during the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. At the meeting, specific arrangements were made to implement the company’s efforts to ensure safety and stability, security protection, and on-site operation guarantee for after-sales services during the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. On July 18,
the enforcement team of the Beijing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau led a joint initiative with the enforcement teams from the ecology and environment bureaus of Fengtai District and Mentougou District to implement thematic training on environmental protection, selecting BSR as a pilot. The thematic training on environmental protection, with BSR as a pilot, not only provided BSR with valuable environmental protection knowledge and technical support but also set a benchmark and model for environmental protection among enterprises citywide.

BSR successfully passed the annual review for the EN15085 Rail Welding Systems, which applies to both newly built and overhauled railway vehicles.

BSR successfully won the bid for the Car Replacement Project - Car Procurement Project for Beijing Metro Line 1, with a total project value of RMB 1.138 billion.

On December 3,
the first trainset (YZ024) of the Additional Car Procurement Project for the Beijing Metro Yizhuang Line was officially put into trial operation. Operating since 2010, this line has been in service for more than a decade and serves as a key rail transit line connecting downtown Beijing and the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. The design concept for the additionally procured cars highlights human-centered care, featuring more comfortable LED lighting, electronic route maps with adjustable brightness, and measures such as sound-absorbing materials and airtight doors to reduce vibration and noise during operation.
On December 5,
BSR held the 22nd meeting of its third Board of Directors. The meeting reviewed five proposals, including the Proposal on Appointment and Dismissal of Deputy Executives.
On December 14,,
he first trainset (06024) of the Factory Overhaul Project for Beijing Metro Line 6, undertaken by BSR, completed its factory overhaul and arrived safely at the Wuliqiao Depot. This project involves 84 trainsets/672 Type-B electric passenger cars and marks the first time BSR has undertaken a factory overhaul project for eight-car trainsets powered by an overhead contact system.
On December 19
BSR successfully won the bid for Ground Equipment Upgrade and Renovation Project for Signal System of Beijing Metro Line 5 and Overall Upgrade and Renovation Project for Signal System of Beijing Metro Line 10 - Car Renovation (including Train Video Perception and Surveillance System). The total contract value is RMB 576 million and involves upgrading 177 six-car trainsets running on Beijing Metro Lines 5 & 10.
On December 25,
the 34th trainset (15033) of the Factory Overhaul Project for Beijing Metro Line 15 successfully rolled out of BSR, marking the conclusion of factory overhaul for all cars under this project.

On March 7,
the joint meeting of Beijing’s transportation safety departments announced the comprehensive evaluation results of the traffic safety work of enterprises and institutions in Beijing for the year 2022. Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of “Outstanding Unit in Traffic Safety Work at the Municipal Level in Beijing in 2022”.

On April 15,
the first train set FS009, repaired by Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. for the shop repair project of the Beijing Subway Fangshan Line, officially started trial operation. In the Project, the prototype train was redesigned, optimized, and upgraded in various aspects, such as weight reduction, network system upgrade, and upgraded frequency conversion A/C, improving the stability of the train's subsystems and enhancing the operational service quality.
On April 23,
deputies to NPC of Chengshousi Sub-district in Fengtai District visited the company for carrying out the initiative of “Quarterly Reflection” and a survey and exchange activity. At the discussion, the deputies to NPC learned in detail about BSR’s profile, conducting of main business, and fulfillment of responsibilities as a state-owned enterprise. On April 24,
the first train set CP006, managed by Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. for the shop repair project of the Beijing Subway Changping Line, officially started trial operation. After the vehicle network system upgrade and transformation in the Project, the overall bus structure of the vehicle network was further optimized, and the interfaces of corresponding subsystems were changed, improving the stability of data transmission between systems. The transmission rate of vehicle status data has significantly increased, effectively ensuring the operational safety and reliability of the trains, further enhancing the service level of the Changping Line.
Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. passed the evaluation for the “Beijing Second-Level Standardized Safety Production Enterprise” and obtained the “Second-Level Standardized Safety Production Enterprise” certificate and plaque issued by the Beijing Emergency Management Bureau and the Beijing Work Safety Association.
On April 27,
the Company successfully won the bid for the procurement project of electric buses (including traction systems) for Line 28 (also known as the CBD Line) of the Beijing Subway, with an impressive total amount of 1.642 billion RMB.

Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. successfully passed the EN15085 and ISO3834 welding system recertification audit and obtained a qualification certificate valid for three years.

From April to August,
the Party Committee of the Company carried out thematic education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. During this period, various activities were conducted, including theoretical center group study sessions, one-week intensive reading sessions, monthly half-day reading sessions, collective research symposiums, exchange meetings on investigation and research results, and special democratic life meetings. Members of the leadership team visited 28 frontline locations, conducted 43 surveys, identified and rectified 16 issues promptly, established 25 problem lists, and promoted the establishment of 29 outcome-based documents. On October 12,
the first train set YZ008, repaired by Beijing Subway Rolling Stock Equipment Co., Ltd. for the the shop repair project of the Beijing Subway Yizhuang Line, officially started operation. The Project involved 23 sets of 138 B-type electric buses (with a maximum operating speed of 80km/hr). The first train on this line was a trial vehicle, which underwent design optimization and upgrade modifications in various aspects, such as the driver's cab layout, network systems, and lightning protection devices. These improvements enhanced the stability of the vehicle's subsystems. The successful launch of the first train on the shop repair project of the Beijing Subway Yizhuang Line laid a solid foundation for the subsequent batch of vehicle maintenance and further improved the operational service level of the Yizhuang Line.
On October 25,
the inaugural ceremony of the Studio of Rail Transit Equipment Industry Chain Committee under the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference was held in BSR. Relevant leaders of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC visited the company for an on-site survey and attended the ceremony. In Year 2017
Relying on the vehicle manufacturing project of Beijing Subway Line 16, the company analyzed and studied the structural type and technical characteristics of A-type stainless steel vehicles, and established the R & D technology platform for the company's independent research and development of A-type stainless steel vehicles. In the same year, the trial production and first article appraisal of the car body steel structure and its major parts were successfully completed, and the quality met the design requirements. At the same time, based on the drawings of the subcontract project of Beijing Subway Line 16, the 3D modeling design of the car body is carried out in an all-around way.
The company won the bid for the electric passenger car project of Beijing Rail Transit Line 7 Phase II with first place in the total score. In addition to vehicle products, in the same year, the company signed a 400,000 un-wheeling repair contract for Line 7 electric passenger cars and formally stepped into the vehicle un-wheeling repair business.

The company won the construction project of "National Laboratory for communication and operation control of urban rail transit train” by National Development and Reform Commission.
In November
The company won the bid of the north extension project of Fangshan Line with the first place in the total score. Fangshan line electric passenger car is the first project designed and developed independently by our company. It is the first batch of operating vehicles in Beijing with the localization rate of the whole vehicle reaching 97%, and it is also the first completely domestic vehicle project with the speed of 100Km/h in China.
The company has completed the technical preparation of an A-type stainless steel car in an orderly manner.
The company has carried out the technical investigation of domestic A-type stainless steel vehicles, completed the production capacity analysis and process capability evaluation, and formulated the manufacturing process plan, which has made technical preparation for the company to manufacture A-type stainless steel vehicles.

The company signed an order of 52 vehicles used for the Vietnam Hanoi Cat Linh-Ha Dong Line. Successfully completed the vehicle design and prototype car manufacturing for Vietnam Hanoi Cat Linh-Ha Dong Line. Successfully completed the process capability analysis of subway train made of A-type stainless steel.On the basis of full investigation and combination with the current situation in the company's subway car production process layout, equipment and facilities, tooling, debugging and testing, the preliminary process program for the manufacture of subway train made of A-type stainless steel was determined, which laid a foundation for the production of A-type subway car in 2016.

The Rolling Stock Works held the press conference of ISO9001 quality system documents. The person in charge of Beijing Quality Management Association and leaders of relevant departments and offices of the head office attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

On April 3
the vehicle factory held a grand meeting to celebrate the 100th vehicle going off the assembly line and to deliver a report on the domestication of vehicle equipment. Relevant leaders of the Beijing Municipality, the State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission attended the meeting and congratulated our factory on the achievements made on the domestication journey. The meeting also attracted representatives of Shanghai Metro, Changchun Railway Vehicles Factory and other counterpart metro and related units to attend, and it was reported by 21 news media.

The Rolling Stock Works and Changchun Bus Factory signed a subcontract for 174 vehicles of Beijing subway "FUBA line". And jointly provided internationally-advanced subway cars for Beijing subway "FUBA line".

"Beijing Metro Rolling Stock Works" is officially changed to "Beijing Metro Corporation-Subway Rolling Stock Works”
On March 19
The Rolling Stock Works signed a contract with Tianjin Metro. And it was the first time to manufacture electric cars for other provinces and cities.
On December 26
The new electric cars developed for Tianjin Metro was cut ribbon at XINHUA road station in Tianjin, CCTV and Tianjin TV respectively reported the operation of the new electric cars.

On March 9
The first BD2 wide-body electric train was put into operation.
On December 5
The first set of DK16 Metro electric cars under shop repair was delivered for inspection and left the factory.

On January 12
The experience exchanging meeting on that Beijing Metro Rolling Stock Works had been awarded the city, the district traffic safety advanced unit for 20 consecutive years was held.
On April 4
The factory won the bronze medal for progress of the national electric furnace steel power saving diagnosis and treatment competition awarded by the Transportation and Energy Department of the State Planning Commission.

The dynamic adjustment of BD2 wide-body electric car was completed.

An eight-member expert group from the Ministry of Construction on localization of Metro and light rail technology and equipment visited the factory to inspect the localization process of metro vehicles.

The wide-body subway electric car (BD1) designed and manufactured by our factory won Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, Second Prize.

Approved by Beijing Municipal Administration Committee, the name of our factory was changed to "Beijing Metro Rolling Stock Works".

The Beijing BD1 Metro wide-body electric car designed and manufactured by our factory had successfully landed.

The static and dynamic commissioning of the first BD1 wide-body electric car was successfully completed at a time.

The second car was successfully commissioned and linked with the first one.

On September 14
The delivery and operation ceremony of the metro wide-body vehicles designed and manufactured by our factory was held in Taipinghu depot. The municipal leaders participated in the ceremony, and Beijing People's Broadcasting Station, Beijing TV, Workers' Daily, Beijing Daily and other medias reported this successively.

Our factory held the inauguration ceremony of reconstruction and expansion.

On April 4
The 325-train set of the first set of DK3 Metro electric cars was overhauled.
On June 30
The reconstruction and expansion were fully completed. The factory, after its expansion, had the annual capacity of repairing 84 electric cars, and was able to undertake the repair of metro electric cars, equipment and the manufacturing of electric car accessories. It had become the first metro electric car repair depot in China, played an important role in accelerating the construction of capital metro and easing the traffic congestion in Beijing.
